At Block Printers Tbilisi we use natural silk, linen and cotton to make accessories and home decor pieces.
We work with Georgian and Uzbek masters to make wooden blocks from walnut and linden wood. The designs we find in old books, architectural details, vintage fabrics etc. We also make original patterns.
Only natural materials and ingredients are used for our work: the fabric dyes and the paints for woodblocks are made from vegetables, fruits and natural pigments.
All our work is done by hand: even the silk thread used to hand-stitch the hems is dyed to match the fabric.
Below are samples of pieces we have done to give you a taste of our work. We regularly update our Instagram account with new work and stories about woodblock printing.
